This year’s Summit will be emceed by Migs Hipolito.  Famous local blogger, Blogie Robillo as well as Avel Manansala, Aileen Apolo and Lyle Santos will all have their 30 minute to discuss their niche and blogging expertise.  They will also share their knowledge in earning money online and how to gain more traffic to their sites.

I know the venue is not that great, and it is NOT Mallberry Suites, but lets take– its  Pearlmont!  Its inexpensive and location wise, it is convenient.  So will I be attending the summit?  I have never attended any bloggers summit before, but suffice to say I am tempted… lets just see, aye?

I certainly am not very optimistic in earning money from Mahalo, but since the new site and Jason Calacanis needed the boost, bloggers like me just don’t mind lending a hand.

What is Mahalo Answers? Mahalo is a place where you can offer tips, earn money and get paid. One of more ways of earning points in Mahalo is to view more pages in a day. I am proud to see my answers ranking high at Mahalo even though I have not really earned anything from them. I like reading through other people’s inquiries and sometimes, when I feel I am competent and even have the time to research and respond to other people’s inquiry, I do not mind spending some time with my answers. At any rate, I could only sigh and drool with envy to the rest who are going.  I have no idea who are going and I have no personal connection with any of these people, but at any rate since I am no longer in Manila and blogs now in Mindanao, I am now a Mindanao Blogger but have not officially joined the group yet.  So, what am I waiting for?

I came across Mindanao Bloggers and found out about the most recent Wordcamp here in the country. Wordcamp is a gathering of WordPress users sponsored by world renowned Automattic, which was rumored to have just rejected an offer. That and the most recent acquisition of Intense Debate.

Now, from the Mindanao Bloggers entry about the Wordcamp Philippines and the upcoming 2nd Mindanao Blogging Summit in General Santos, I came across Matt Mullenweg’s name and discovered this is the guy behind Automattic and founder of WordPress and bbPress. I did check out his blog and saw the photo of this young lad with a cute face. Darn! This kid must have it all… looks, money (INC has declared Matt as one of their Top 30 Entrepreneurs Under 30), incredible mind (dropping out from University of Houston doesn’t prove anything…) and creative even.(wipes drool…) Just look and admire the template of his blog. Hay, it must be great having almost everything at 24…
