Simple French Toast

Who doesn’t love french toast?  French toast is one of the first dishes taught to me by a good friend so many years ago. It is simple to make and I have perfected my own variation of french toast recently and my children enjoy it every now and then.  It is great for breakfast with or without maple syrup or honey.

Intrigued with that famous kimchi scene on Coffee Prince, and loving so many korean dishes served at my favorite Korean restaurant here, I successfully tried and tested kimchi friend rice in my kitchen using Maangchi’s recipe. Buchujeon or Garlic Chives Jeon

Buchujeon  is a mainstay in our dining table. For one, garlic chives is a good and savory side dish and snack. It’s very versatile and you may do numerous variations by adding other vegetables (ie shredded or julienned carrots, potatoes etc) and proteins like (shrimps and squids). You may also substitute kimchi for garlic chives.

Who can deny that Shinee‘s comeback did not get you rolling and dying of anticipation. Since their debut in 2008, Shinee is probably one of the biggest export in KPop history next to TVXQ, Bigbang and perhaps EXO. The first time I heard this song, I managed to sing along with it right away. It was remarkable and the dance moves easy to follow.

This is a simple zucchini side dish that my family loves.  I like serving this along fried pork or chicken dishes like Tonkatsu and friend chicken.  Works like a charm as well if you are into grilled fish or pork like samgyeopsal. I like making it slightly spicy and I use birds eye chili for the zing.
