FigaroOur first Love Your Language translation hackathon was a success!  Fuelled with pizza, sandwiches and coffee from Figaro, we spent 6 hours translating and validating phrases and words from English to Tagalog and Cebuano.

The day was filled with alot of laughter and guffaws from translating mundane words like “validating” in Cebuano to raunchier phrases like “friends with benefits” and “Pinaluhod siya sa sofa at pinatalikod,” which earned several minutes of jaw dropping translations in English and Tagalog.

Done with like minded people from GBG CDO and volunteer-friends, the day was hilarious and considered, not-all-like-work.  We all had fun judging from the pictures and the booming laughter in Figaro. And yes, this is just the first leg of the translation hackathon! Three more coming up!
