Happiness is a state of the mind. Something that we can control. Something that we can give and share to others with the hope that it will be reciprocated as well.

Children’s laugher
Children’s laughter is just music to my ears. I love it when all my kids are laughing and enjoying themselves.

Unexpected gestures
I think receiving unexpected praises, acknowledgements or accolades from people who matter to me.

Money
Let’s be honest, money can buy us things that makes us happy although we all know that money cannot buy us happiness. But what the heck, temporary happiness is not bad at all…

Books
I love being surrounded with books. Grisham, Kellerman, Crichton, Collins, Scottonline– all books. I love the smell of new books, and even musty books.

Music
Music uplifts my spirit. I have a very wide selection of music, from songs from the 80s to present. I can appreciate Bocelli, Buble, Black Eyed Peas, Usher, Wolfgang, Chemical Brothers, and other salsa mixes. I listen to my heart content everyday.

Travel
Exploring cities I have never been gives me so much pleasure. Having traveled around Asia and the Pacific, I have learned the tricks of stress-free travel with children.

Great food
Food will always be a source of happiness albeit temporary. Living with children, food tripping has always a part of our activities. It is also important to me to expand my children’s horizon when it comes to pleasing the palate.

Gadgets
Smartphones, laptops, gaming console– you name it gives me happiness.

The Beach
Sand and sun makes me happy. Need I say more?

Quietness
I love the sound of a quiet house– a quiet room… Since having and living with 4 children, I have learned to value quietness and stillness.
