In response to @ryanbarr’s contest sent via Twitter, I would definitely love to win a $50 or $25 Apple Gift Card from Spookyismy.name – Web Design and Development. To comply with the contest rules, here are my response:
1. What you would do with your Apple Gift Card if you won?
If I would win, I would definitely get myself a subscription of MobileMe or a Mac Box Set if I have extra money to cover the balance.
It’d be nice to get an upgrade from my older OSX!
2. Who do you find most inspiring and why?
I find Matt Mullenweg because of his achievements as well as his influence in the development of WordPress and other web applications. He is inspiring especially to the youth and to web users because of his dedication and obvious talent as well as intelligence and his hardwork in harnessing his craft.
3. Your Twitter username so others can follow you if they please. (Not required.)
Anyone interested on SAHM tips as well as VA tips can follow my progress via Twitter @lifediscourse.

I have moved houses last weekend, and although I am happier for finding a house which was only a block away from my children’s school and this entails an increase in savings since the children won’t have to take the short tricycle drive to the school everyday now, my webwork was halted by absence of internet connection.
I was so excited about the move that I forgot to consider my DSL connection. Moving not only meant moving furniture but also moving antennas and packing– again… darn, I am getting so good with packing and moving houses now. Moving also mean changing my mailing addresses and that mean changing billing addresses for my internet, landline as well as bank statements. Being a webworker, my life and work breathe along with the internet. Without internet connection, my job is non-existent, and my work was for a week on hold until I get my antenna up.
I went to Globe Innove office the very next day I moved and requested for relocation as well as reinstallation request. Much to my dismay, the CSR who attended to me at the office told me that I needed to make the request at another branch and asked why, she said this was because the form was unavailable in their branch. Trying my best not to explode, I asked her if the other branch can send the form via email or by fax to their branch so I can complete the form there so they can perform the process. She looked at me like I came from outer space and when I started to look for another personnel to speak with. I asked her, “can you just check if my request is possible?” She reluctantly went to her colleague on the other table and the other girl said yes it is possible. I smiled back upon hearing this and then the girl who was attending to me hurled another stupid utterance: “Ah, Ma’am can you please come back later kay mag lunch pa ko…”
OMG
…Aaahhhhh…
Customer service truly suck here in the country! Hearing this reminded me of my experience with Banco de Oro and I had to strain myself from bursting.
Then my son started saying, “Mom are we eating at Pizza Hut?” Save by the bell… Instead of reasoning out with her, I instead I said, “ok, can you please make sure the form is here after 45 minutes? My kids and I will have lunch as well.”
After our lunch the forms were ready and I signed the request.
Now waiting for the serviceman to come around my address was another thing…

This is my 100th entry.
Thank you to those who have wandered, lurked, commented and visited my site for the past months. To celebrate my 100th entry, I gave myself a present and has decided to try Darren Rowse‘s 31 Days to Build a Better Blog. It cost me $20 and I paid for it using Paypal. Call it an investment… Let’s see how it goes then.
Darren Rowse’s fame in blogosphere is more than awesome– its phenomenal. I mean, who doesn’t know Darren or at least have visited Problogger.net? I have been a follower of Problogger for almost 5 years now. I have Darren’s feed in my trusty Newsgator filed under Top Tech Blogs. His blog among LifeHacker, TechCrunch, Gigaom and what else Gizmodo…
I guess most bloggers have dreams of becoming the next Darren Rowse or our local version of Darren, Yugatech’s Abe Olandres and Connie Veneracion. Both Connie and Abe both enjoy highpage ranking including earning dollars from their blogs.
It wouldn’t hurt to try and this time, I am in for the long haul.

Yes, I have been guilty and I have neglected my own blog for awhile now. Suffice to say I am busy trying to make ends meet since my tenant in Manila is scheduled to move out soon. We haven’t have any income aside from my earnings in oDesk for 2 months now.

She's eight years now
I am just amazed how my hardwork and sleepless nights and barrels of coffee continue to pull us through. I am just happy that we are okay and we continue to thrive. There is hope… there really might be a God.
My daughter Alis turned 8 weeks ago. Yes, my oldest is 8 years old. She has grown alot the past month and has gained some weight not to mention some ass.
Thanks to the Papua New Guinean gene, physique wise she will definitely be a head turner when she grows up.
Work with oDesk is fine except that the sleepless nights took and sapped my energy weeks ago that I had to let go of one of my top paying and demanding client. Sayang, I know. I really liked working with him. But I was not getting enough sleep and I felt like burning both end of the candle and I simpy couldn’t work anymore.
After sending my resignation letter I thought, shit I could have just asked for a short break– I knew he would have given me a break, but I knew he needed so much help with all the things he has to do everyday. Anyway, bye to Vee for now. I hope to bump into you one of these days. Skype and Gmail will always be there…
And to Alis, keep your head up. You are going to be one fine woman and like I promised, we are okay and will continue to be fine. I love you.

It was just so freakin hot where we’re at. The weather was hot and balmy. It’s was just like inside a steamy sauna room. I remembered my first sauna experience at Fitness First years ago and I almost died inside. It was just so balmy– I mean, that was what the sauna was about. But I swear, I couldn’t breathe inside the room, and I was getting lightheaded even.
I thought the 10 minute sauna would kill me… it didn’t. Anyway, the heat here was tolerable and the children were enjoying their day outside with the neighbor’s children. I heard their merriment as they told me their first attempt to fly a kite. Boy I have never flown a kite before.
They were just so happy. One of the older girls made a simple kite for my daughters. It was just one of those ones made of bamboo strips and simple chinese paper and nylon. It was a joy watching my children play on the vacant lot near our house. Hearing their peels of laughter was music to my ears.
How about you? How was your day? I sure hope it was as good as mine…
